Cole's New Bike

Dan's mom really wanted to get Cole a bike. He kept saying that did not want one. I asked why not and he said he didn't want to pedal. He just liked driving his cars. (Even though he had to do Fred Flintstone feet to get the cars to move.)

He rode BradyBennett's bike at their house and then got a little interested in bike riding. He even did a trade...his Diego big wheel for Bennett's tricycle. When we switched back, he was sad b/c he liked riding the bike.

I took him to Toys R Us and let him pick out a bike b/c Dan's mom said she would send the money for the bike he picked out when he finally picked it out. He picked this ridiculously little bike and scooter set. I think a 3 year old would be bored with it, but it was what he wanted. If I bought a big bike, it would probably sit in the garage. Soooo, I got him the little set.

I should have known when the box said "easy assembly" that it would be impossible! I got the thing together enough for him to ride around the kitchen but I had plans to take it back and get the floor model.

We all went one weekend day to do the exchange. While we were there I convinced Cole to get on the movie CARS bike. He liked it, but the main reason he liked the little bike and not the 16 inch was b/c he likes to pedal backwards. The little one let him...the big one didn't b/c that is how you brake.

Lately Cole has this whole "who is taller, whose house is bigger, who has the biggest shoes..." thing going on so I said that I thought the CARS bike was bigger than Brady's. Now that caught his attention!

After debating for a long time, Cole finally decided to get the big bike. Phew!

Here he is....

Children's Museum

In the month of June we went to the children's museum twice. The first time Cole was all into the Police car and the Nissan. The next time he liked shopping and being the deli guy. He made me different sandwiches and meals.

**Not sure if you are picking up on this, but Cole has a new favorite shirt. He had it on in past entries...and he has it on for both museum trips!**

Officer Cole on patrol...

Driving kids around...
Loading up his cart...

**He picked up toothpaste and then put it back. I asked why and he said he could get it cheaper at Walmart.** I laughed and laughed at that!
Getting flowers for Mum. Ahhh, that's my sweet boy!
Scanning the items...

Hey Deli Man, I'd like a sub with a side of beans.

Dad's Day Dinosaurs

On Father's Day we went to a local museum.
There was a special Dinosaur exhibit. The dinosaurs moved and roared.
Cole didn't want his picture taken, no shock there.

Christmas In June

Cole didn't want to eat anymore of his dinner (he didn't eat much to begin with) so Dan told him he had to eat 5 bites of steak.
For some reason I burst into song about the food on his plate (to the tune of The 12 Days of Christmas)
5 bites of steak! 4 bites of corn, 3 carrot chips, 2 bites of celery and a strawberry with fruit dip.
It worked! He didn't moan or try to get out of eating the correct amount of bites. He just wanted me to keep singing the song so he knew how many bites to eat of each food. Woo Hoo!

Tee-Ball Trophy & Last Game Pictures

After the last Tee-Ball game all the kids got trophies. Cole was sooo excited! His first trophy!!
He held onto it the whole day. We went to the park with his team for pizza and to play and he carried it around the whole time. Then we had to run to Sam's Club for a few things before going to a birthday party...carried it around Sam's...carried it around the birthday party. He was so proud of the trophy!

Coach giving out the trophy...
Gimme 5!
Look at my trophy!!!!
Go Cole!

No, that kid in the background is not doing a backhanded catch! He was Cole's buddy...they both ran on and off the field, talked, looked around...

Cole in the Outfield

Remember I said Cole has no interest in fielding the ball? Well here is proof! He is on the far left...looking at the sky...staying in his spot...

He did run after one ball...here is that proof:

Cole's 1st Tee-ball Game

This spring Cole played Tee-ball. He had a few practices...he liked to hit the ball, but wasn't big on playing the outfield. He struggled to get through the practices (boy attention span!) and wasn't super excited for his first game. (He wanted to pick out his outfit, but he had to wear his uniform. Although he was happy to wear his new sneakers, which he refers to as his "New Balance". Side story...Cole is obsessed with shoes. He loves to get new shoes, try on shoes, notice other people's shoes. When he was trying on the New Balance sneakers at the store he said he thought his coach had them...sure enough we go to the first game and the Coach has New Balance sneakers like Cole's!)

No, that is NOT chew in his mouth, it is gum!

Come on, big throw!

Go Green Team!

Telling his teammates about his New Balance.

Eyeing up the ball. He doesn't seem to like it...

Keeping his eye on the ball and following through.

Nice hit!

Come on Cole, this way!
