Our friends invited us over to have a New Year's Eve party. Dan was in PA for the winter classic hockey game, Amber's husband was hunting and Tammy's husband was supposed to be on a trip, but got home early...so he got to join in some fun! We ate Little Caesar's pizza and had a special treat I made. The kids played while the moms played Wii...Just Dance 2. Then we had a mock countdown at 8:00, had a toast with sparkling grape juice and the kids made lots of noise with their horns. It was a fun night! :)

Misc 2010
***When we are reading a book and there is a mole on the page, Cole yells "MOLE!" This makes me laugh...I don't know why, but it does.
***When Cole says something smart and I say I can't believe he knew that, he says, "I'm smarter than the average bear!" (from Yogi Bear)

Misc. Christmas
Holy Night Supper...
* (by the way, I have been telling people for 15 years that HNS is an Italian tradition, when it is really a RUSSIAN tradition. Why it took Dan 15 years to correct me, I don't know!) Cole and Santa

Cole's Kindergarten Christmas Party
They ate their snack and then opened up their gift bags to see what everyone put in throughout the month. (The kids got to be "Secret Santa" by bringing in gifts for all the kids and putting them in the bags.) You know I couldn't just go to the dollar store and buy a bag...I had to make one!!!! :)

Lunch with friends
I made lunch for Cole and his buddies. I wanted to make it fun, so I filled these snowflake containers with snow and a snowflake. (cotton candy and pb&j sandwich cut with a cookie cutter) Then I just used a roll of wrapping paper for the tablecloth, added a little snow and we were all set for a fun lunch!

Driving to look at the Christmas lights with friends...
Cole's friends were over one day during break and when it got dark we all piled in my vehicle and drove around different neighborhoods to check out the houses that were all decorated for Christmas. One house had it's lights set to a radio station...you tuned in, parked in front of their house and got to enjoy a light show 5 songs long! Cole, Ethan and Carter...they all had to bring treats and stuffed animals and toys for the short trip!

Christmas Pottery
Here are the Christmas pottery pieces we have made. There isn't one for 2008 because Cole was sick that Christmas and we didn't get a chance to go...
