Our Trip To The Rain Forest

Cole's class had a field trip...to the local middle school. They turned a classroom into a rain forest! It was really neat. They decorated the whole room ceiling to floor. The kids moved around to different stations to learn about the animals of the rain forest, how to save the rain forest, what foods come from the rain forest...

Cole had a good time. He made a bookmark, played a few games and sampled foods from the rain forest...bananas, chocolate, cola, cinnamon cereal...

Baby T-Rex

We went to the mall to see the baby T-Rex that would be in town in a few weeks for "Walk With The Dinosaurs". The dinosaur was really cool and life-like. It roared at the kids and stomped around. Cole liked the little performance and was looking forward to the real show...but we found out that it has been cancelled. :(

Dad's New Car

Dan got a new car...guess who was more excited?! I took Cole to the dealership so he could be there and ride home with Dan in the new Infinity G. Then when we got home Cole wanted to play in it...he buckled his stuffed animals in and "drove" them around and "got gas".

He has been telling everybody about the car and wants to show all his friends. We were on a field trip and he was telling his buddy about the car...and how it has 7 gears.

After The Storms

The past two weekends we have had some bad storms. Although Cole does not like the storms, he loves the aftermath...puddles and mud! He even made a new friend...Venza the turtle. (He named it after the Toyota Venza.) Cole couldn't wait to get outside and drive in the puddles and jump in the mud. What a boy!

A Perfect Kite Flying Kind Of Day

The other day was beautiful...warm, sunny, windy...the perfect day to fly a kite. Luckily we just got some at Walmart ($1 each!). Cole picked out a Buzz Lightyear to fly today. We actually got the kite flying so high that we were at the end of the string on the handle! Then we were able to sit and just watch the kite dance in the sky...until a tree got it!
