Happy Thanksgiving!
We are all done eating and are stuffed! I made homemade (yes, homemade!!!!) stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potato pie and deviled eggs. We also had rolls, turkey and pumpkin pie. Cole liked the deviled eggs and whip cream.
Here are pictures from our dinner, Cole playing in the leaves with his Pilgrim friends and his Thanksgiving feast with Pilgrim friends and Native American friends.
Here are the "turkey" juice boxes I made for our playgroup's Thanksgiving feast. (I colored construction paper and glued it on the juice box and then glued leaves on the back to look like feathers. I was pretty proud of the idea!
Chief Golden Fit SUV (Fit as in Honda Fit)
Cole couldn't wait and got started while we were still getting all the food!
Mmmmm, whip cream!

Cole got a library card
I told Cole when he turned 4 we would get him his very own library card. (I found some really cool library scrapbooking stuff, so that was the motivation behind the picture taking at this "event"!)
He was excited to have a library card...and to check out lots of car books and Max and Ruby books.

Car Show!
Today we went to a car show...just like the ones Cole watches on TV. He was so excited. He ran from car to car. We got some free goodies like key chains, bags and brochures. Cole's favorite was the Hyundai Veracruz followed by the Ford Flex. On the way out he said he had a great time at the car show and wondered why there weren't any Nissans.

Stuff from 6+ months ago
When we switched Cole out of his day bed and into a double bed I told him I would want to get pictures of him in bed that night. So, that night he gets into bed and I tell him I am ready to take pictures and THE BOY MOONS ME! He just dropped trough and stuck his butt up! Here's your picture, Mum!
I love to listen to Cole talk to his animals. He says a lot of what I say to him. One time I heard him say "I love you even if you make mistakes." and "You are growing up." Of course he tells his animals to stop moaning b/c he hears that a lot too.
TV can pay off...Cole uses words like gargantuan, delicious, and scrumptious...words he learned from Pinky Dinky Doo and Max and Ruby on Noggin.

The Halloween Entry
Here are pictures of all things Halloween...pumpkin carving, trunk or treating, table or treating and parading.
Cole named his pumpkin "Happy". He didn't want to put his hand inside the pumpkin, so I did it for him! (He didn't want to touch the pumpkin b/c he said it smelled like stink! That is one of his favorite sayings by the way..."It smells like stink!") He just wanted to poke the pumpkin. We ate the seeds after, but he didn't like them. Maybe they tasted like stink? :)
Before we moved here we had never "trunk or treat"ed or even heard about it. It is pretty big here. A lot of churches offer it for the kids. People park in a row with their trunks facing out and decorate their trunks and give out candy. The kids just walk down the row and collect tons of treats. We went to one at night where the church members put it on and we didn't have to decorate our trunk. Then we went to one during the day with our MOPS group...we got to decorate for that. We also did a "table or treat" inside with our play group where the kids paraded around and took treats from the tables the moms decorated.
One last thing before the pictures...Cole was a Ford Flex for Halloween. He wanted it a "crazy green color". I know a lot of the details are not in proper proportion, but we did the best we could with the supplies we had. We got the big symbol on the front from a local Ford dealership. Oh, the headlights work!

Misc. October Stuff
Oops, the first three pictures are from September when our playgroup had an Apple Party on Johnny Appleseed's birthday. We heard a story about Johnny and ate lots of apple treats.
These are pictures of Cole at the fair.
These are pictures of Cole and Curious George at a friend's birthday party.
Fall baking!
Meeting the mascot at a Hockey game.
Fall Fun day at school. The fire Department came with their engine. Cole just wanted to see the tires!
